Welcome

The Intensive Personality Disorder Program (IPDP) is an outpatient program dedicated
to the psychotherapeutic treatment and research advancements of Borderline
Personality Disorder (BPD).  The IPDP offers information on this site so that the
general public and health care professionals alike have the opportunity to enhance
awareness of this challenging psychiatric condition.  Through education,
understanding, and support, the IPDP is dedicated to treating and researching this
psychologically disabling condition.

Mission

We are an interdisciplinary outpatient program dedicated to providing integrative
treatment, comprehensive assessment, and the standard of care to individuals suffering
from borderline personality disorder (BPD) and other personality pathologies. Our goal
is to teach borderline patients the skills that they will need to build and maintain strong
interpersonal relationships, change distressing emotional states, decrease behaviors that
interfere with the quality of life, improve self-esteem, decrease suicidal behaviors and
suicidal ideations, and increase positive behaviors that enhance and sustain a patient's
daily life.
